What is a portable application?

A portable application is a program that you can copy to any folder on your PC, notebook, or USB stick. Just unpack it and start it right away. JavaComm is such a portable. Want to remove it? No problem – just delete the folder, and JavaComm is gone.

New features in version 261106-PRE5

1. A bug affecting directory publishing has been fixed. File names are transmitted correctly to the server when switching between directories.

2. The version number is displayed in the confirmation dialog after an update.

3. Screenshots are no longer discarded because a timestamp tolerance window is exceeded when network connections are slow or unstable.

4. A bug in the AutoUpdater has been fixed. The application restarts automatically after a successful update.
